This is a people's emergency fund to raise money for our most vulnerable people and communities. The funds will be used to purchase basic survival goods (food, medicine, etc) and distribute those goods and money during the COVID-19 crisis to people *most* marginalized in this crisis, with the *least* access to other forms of aid.
The fund supports the Food Brigade, a mutual aid effort getting food and other necessities directly into the hands of people. The Food Brigade is community-led, community-powered and zero barrier. You need food, you get it. We are currently feeding 2000 people across in the Greater Portland area and Lewiston/Auburn.
